Plant extracts enhance the immune system of animals. Plant polysaccharides improve the phagocytic ability of macrophages in animals, enhance the production of reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide, stimulate cytokines, increase the number of lymphocytes, activate antibody production, and prolong the effect of antibodies.

The main functions of plant extracts are antibacterial, antioxidant, and immune-enhancing effects on animals.

1. Disrupt and degrade bacterial cell walls.

2. Damage the bacterial cytoplasmic membrane.

3. Damage the protein structure of the bacterial cell membrane.

4. Cause leakage of bacterial cell contents.

5. Cause coagulation of bacterial cytoplasm. Plant extracts' antioxidant active ingredients include: polyphenols, vitamins, alkaloids, saponins, polysaccharides, polypeptides, etc.

Antioxidant mechanisms of plant extracts:

1. Directly scavenge or inhibit free radicals.

2. Provide protons, combining with free radicals to form more stable compounds.

3. Increase electrons, inhibiting the production of reactive oxygen species to achieve the purpose of scavenging free radicals.

4. Inhibit the activity of oxidases related to free radicals, enhance the activity of antioxidant enzymes, and play an antioxidant role.

Plant extracts enhance the immune levels of animal bodies. Plant polysaccharides improve the phagocytic ability of macrophages in animals, enhance the production of reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide, stimulate cytokines, increase the number of lymphocytes, activate the production of antibodies, and prolong the effect of antibodies.
